Recipe: Single Serving Nutella S’More

single serving nutella s'more This isn’t much of a recipe, because it’s only three ingredients and I made none of them. But Nutella is always a good place to start.

It is a recipe, if you believe that a recipe can have cake mix as an ingredient. Which I do not. But let’s just go with it for now.

If like me, you have some random graham crackers, marshmallows and Nutella, then you can make assemble this single serving snack.

It’s rather precarious and gooey. Will probably crumble apart and you’ll need to lick your fingers. But it is just one serving and you’ll be making it in the privacy of your own home, so who’s gonna judge you?

To soften up this caramel covered marshmallow, I punctured it with a wooden kabob skewer and rotated it over the flame on top of my gas stove. Some parts caught fire and got singed. No worries.

I plopped it on a graham cracker. Slathered Nutella on top. Then I ate it. Maybe it’s not a recipe, but it was fun.

Have a good weekend!

Snacking On A Pumpkin Cookie

pumpkin cookie for snacking

As I mentioned in my Edgar Allen Poe post, I had a meeting downtown yesterday. We met at Starbucks, but then decided to sit outside, since it was nice out.

My free birthday drink was getting ready to expire, so I let Starbucks treat me to an iced Oprah Chai Tea Latte. My first time trying it. It was good! Have you tried it?

Since I can’t resist anything striking any sort of resemblance to a pumpkin or hinting at pumpkin spice, I broke down and got a pumpkin sugar cookie since it was perfect for snacking. It wasn’t pumpkin spice, but I still enjoyed it.

I could probably bake something just as good, if not better myself for snacking. Maybe I need to get a pumpkin cookie cutter?

National Popcorn Poppin’ Month

Earlier this evening, I went to Stop & Shop to quickly pick-up a few groceries. As I was parking my car (add the Boston accent if you like), I spotted this pink and purple truck and took a picture. I walked into the store and they were handing out free bags of popcorn, so of course I took a couple.

According to The Popcorn Board, October is National Popcorn Poppin’ Month. Until a few minutes ago, I didn’t know there was a Popcorn Board never mind that that this is the official month of popcorn poppin’.

The Boom Tour is in the Boston area right now and I just happened to walk smack into it. A Huffington Post article says that Angie Bastian started her business, BOOMCHICKAPOP, because she was trying to make some extra money to put toward her children’s college funds. She and her husband Dan turned it into a $50 million dollar business and their products are sold in all fifty states and Canada.

Looks like the kids won’t be needing student loans!
