This picture is from Thanksgiving 2007 over at my aunt’s house. It’s hard to believe that so much time has gone by and all the changes that have taken place. I was just in my second year of blogging at that point. Such a newbie! The economy hadn’t officially crashed yet and I was still driving my Bug.
Since this picture, my aunt has moved to a different place. Today my family is going over to my uncle’s house and he has moved recently as well. I thought I was going to make gingerbread, but I’m starting to have second thoughts. Maybe I will bring something different. Still deciding….
Looking back at this year, it’s been transformative in many ways. Mostly all good too, which I am very thankful for.
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving today surrounded by family and friends. Hopefully nobody has to leave early because they are working retail. Requiring anyone to work today just to increase Black Friday sales by a few hours is so against what today is supposed to be about. It’s truly heartless.
